Webb Architects is a Houston based architectural firm that leads multi-disciplinary project teams focused on our client’s visions by providing multi-faceted architectural and planning – urban design services. Founded in 1993, Webb Architects practice of architecture and urban design continues to focus on resolving our client’s desires with the needs of the community and its environs by enhancing the existing urban fabric of neighborhoods, guiding private and public investment, and contributing to the practice and art of placemaking. We have grown by nurturing and focusing on our acquired strengths and expertise and by providing technical knowledge and problem seeking/ solving skills o a unique range of project types.

Joe Webb

With over 40 years of experience, Joe Douglas Webb, the founding principal of Webb Architects, encourages excellence in architecture by leading multi-disciplinary project teams focused on his clients’ visions. A key factor in understanding the level of involvement, expertise and care provided to his clients revolves around the fact that over ninety percent of the firm’s business is derived from repeat clients or client referrals. Knowledge, experience and technical sophistication are matched by his dedicated input and hands-on involvement in all phases of each project.
Joe received his Bachelor in Architecture from the University of Houston. He is a registered architect in twelve states - Texas, California, Arizona, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, New Mexico, Georgia, West Virginia, Missouri, Colorado, and Oregon.

Ivan Coulter
Senior Designer
Ivan ensures the smooth daily operations of the office and spearheads most of our projects’ graphic designs. He has extensive knowledge of 3-D softwares and is very keen on conceptual development in architecture.
After completing his undergraduate degree in Architecture at Prairie View A&M, Ivan went on to graduate with his Masters of Architecture. After working at Prairie View A&M as a design assistant for seven years, he joined with our firm in 2007. Ivan keeps busy with his family and church A/V ministry. In his free time, he likes to follow and photograph World Superbike and MotoGP motorcycle racing.
Mai Phan
Senior Designer & Marketing Manager
Prior to joining Webb Architects, Mai worked as an urban planner, realtor and residential designer. Her experience in the areas highlighted that architecture is more than just a built environment. She returned to her love of commercial/ industrial architecture and joined Webb Architects as a designer and marketer. With her passion for bringing innovative ideas and through detailing in all phases of the project, her aim is to ensure the client’s satisfaction.
Mai attended the University of Houston where she received a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Finance and Marketing. When she's not designing, Mai continues to develop her fitness expertise with her Mai Gear business, being a USA boxing coach and official, sponsor international pageants, being as a board member of youths non-profit organizations, and co-host TV shows. Much of her time revolves around her four children and outdoor activities such as camping and swimming.
